A service of the KU Memorial Union

KU Offices and Resources at the Burge Union

The Burge Union houses three KU student support offices that play a significant role on the campus.

Emily Taylor Center for Women & Gender Equity

Located on the main level in suite 1040 of the Burge Union beginning in summer 2018, the Emily Taylor Center for Women & Gender Equity is dedicated to challenging that status quo to achieve gender equity using an intersectional lens. The ETC provides services, assistance, advocacy and support to campus community members of all genders.

Legal Services for Students

Located on the mezzanine level in suite 2030 of the Burge Union beginning in summer 2018, Legal Services for Students encourages students to seek the advice of an attorney in order to prevent legal difficulties and to provide assistance when students anticipate or encounter legal problems. Legal Services for Students attorneys (or law students working under the supervision of an attorney) interview and advise students regarding legal matters. The office provides three major services: advice, representation and educational programs.
